ArtCraft acquisition guide
ArtCraft download: choose the correct official route
An ArtCraft download can mean the AI Studio, the Crafting Apps Launcher, or a standalone editor such as PhotoCraft. Choose the product first: generating artwork, managing several desktop apps and installing one image editor use different official routes.
Official ArtCraft download routes checked . This independent site links to publishers’ pages and does not host their installers. Release versions belong to each product separately.
ArtCraft download route chooser
Choose the task you want to complete. Your result will identify the product, official entry and checks for that route.
Select your task to see its route here. The comparison table below also lists all four choices.
The chooser runs on this page. It sends no choices, images or files to a server and does not start a download. Opening an official link takes you to that publisher’s site.
| What you want to do | Choose this route | Go next |
|---|---|---|
| Generate AI images or video, or work in the Studio canvas | ArtCraft AI Studio desktop or hosted web app | Official Studio download · Models and account conditions |
| Install and update several Crafting Apps | ArtCraft Launcher | Official Launcher release |
| Install only PhotoCraft for image and PSD editing | Standalone PhotoCraft package | PhotoCraft platform downloads |
| Modify code, contribute or host a documented web build | The specific product’s repository and build instructions | Choose the official repository |
Choose your ArtCraft download by task
The product choice comes before your operating system. The main ArtCraft Studio download installs an AI artwork application. The Launcher manages the separate Crafting Apps family. A PhotoCraft package installs the image editor itself. These routes are related, but their versions, accounts and runtime requirements are not interchangeable.
Want AI generation? Use the Studio entry
The official ArtCraft Studio download page currently provides Windows and macOS desktop entries, plus the hosted Studio web app. Its quick start includes creating an account or signing in. Read the ArtCraft AI guide before choosing a model or uploading an image; a free software download does not establish that every generation is free.
Want several creative desktop apps? Use Launcher
The official Crafting Apps directory recommends Launcher for installing and updating its app family. Choose it when you want a shared management entry for PhotoCraft and other Crafting Apps. The Launcher is a separate download with its own release tag.
Want one editor or one specific version? Use its package
Start with the app’s product page and release assets. This is useful when you need a fixed release, a portable package or a command-line component instead of a managed installation. The ArtCraft apps directory guide helps identify the right application by task.
Official ArtCraft download routes and product identity
Before opening an installer, confirm both the product and its publishing route. The table records the official entry, the destination it points to and what you are obtaining. Use the release displayed at your visit for the final package choice; a version shown in another guide may be an earlier snapshot.
| Product | Verified official entry | What it leads to | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|---|
| ArtCraft AI Studio | getartcraft.com/download | Windows or macOS Studio release links, or the hosted web app | An account and model conditions apply to Studio use; this is not a PhotoCraft installer. |
| Crafting Apps Launcher | Crafting Apps directory → storytold/craft-launcher Releases | Launcher packages and its SHA256SUMS.txt | Verify a Launcher file against the Launcher release, not a PhotoCraft manifest. |
| PhotoCraft image editor | Official PhotoCraft product page → PhotoCraft Releases | Desktop packages and separate CLI or self-hosted web assets | The PhotoCraft guide explains which exact package serves your task. |
| FilmCraft video editor | Official FilmCraft product page → FilmCraft Releases | FilmCraft packages for its own release | Video editing software, with its own requirements and alpha limitations. |
| LightCraft RAW developer | Official LightCraft product page → LightCraft Releases | LightCraft packages for its own release | Photo-library and RAW work; not PhotoCraft’s layered image workflow. |
For another Crafting App, follow its entry in the official directory. The availability of an installer says nothing about how a particular project file will behave. Check the Adobe workflow and handoff comparison if compatibility is the reason you are downloading.
Pick a Launcher package for your computer
The checked Launcher README documents Windows x64, ARM64 and x86 installers and portable ZIPs; a Universal macOS DMG; and Linux packages for the documented architectures. It also has FreeBSD and self-hosted web distribution notes. Read its current requirements and release assets before choosing a file.
| Computer or purpose | Package family to look for | Selection check |
|---|---|---|
| Windows desktop | Windows MSI or portable ZIP | Match x64, ARM64 or x86 to Windows System type; a portable ZIP must be fully extracted. |
| Mac desktop | macos-universal.dmg | Check the Launcher’s macOS requirement and move the app as its instructions describe. |
| Linux desktop | AppImage, DEB, RPM, Flatpak or tarball | Match architecture and distribution; requirements and sandbox behavior vary by format. |
| Host the Launcher catalog as a website | Launcher WebAssembly ZIP | Read the repository’s web packaging instructions; the catalog is not a hosted AI Studio or an OS installer. |
The README describes verification against each release’s SHA-256 manifest before app installation. That is an upstream behavior statement; this site has not executed a Launcher install or update. A standalone app’s installed version may differ from the Launcher’s version, so record both when reporting a problem.
For PhotoCraft-specific managed installation steps, continue to the PhotoCraft Launcher guide — Documentation checklist. It also explains how to distinguish a Launcher download problem from an editor document problem.
ArtCraft download file types: installer, portable, CLI or source
File extensions alone are insufficient: check the full product name and component in the filename. Two ZIPs in the same release can serve completely different purposes.
| Asset type | Intended use | What it does not provide |
|---|---|---|
| Desktop installer or disk image | Install the graphical app using the product’s platform instructions. | Not the hosted Studio account, a repository checkout or a promise of compatibility. |
| Portable desktop archive | Extract the application and its accompanying files into a writable folder. | Not a reason to run an executable directly from inside a compressed ZIP. |
| CLI archive | Command-line operations for scripts and automation. | Not the ordinary desktop app window. |
| WebAssembly distribution ZIP | Host the documented browser build on your own web server. | Not a ready-hosted editing link simply because it says “web.” |
| GitHub Source code ZIP or tar.gz | Inspect or build the source for the chosen tag. | Not a precompiled installer; a toolchain and build dependencies are required. |
The ArtCraft GitHub repository guide sends developers to the correct project. For PhotoCraft, the source-build instructions — Documentation checklist explain the toolchain separately from packaged installation. Do not download source merely because GitHub displays it next to the release assets.
PhotoCraft installation and checksum guides
If your goal is to open an image or PSD in PhotoCraft, your ArtCraft download choice is now settled: get the standalone editor or install it through Launcher. Keep the detailed platform instructions in the existing guides so that installer names and release evidence have one clear home.
- PhotoCraft download hub: current recorded release, exact platform packages and component choices.
- Windows installation — Documentation checklist: MSI versus portable, and x64 versus ARM64 or x86.
- Mac installation — Desktop walkthrough: Universal DMG, desktop versus CLI, and the published Mac installation record.
- Linux packages — Documentation checklist: format, architecture and platform-specific installation notes.
- PhotoCraft SHA-256 checks — Documentation checklist: compare your exact file with its line in the same release’s manifest.
This site’s earlier installation record covers PhotoCraft v0.7.0, a Universal DMG on macOS 15.5 / Apple M2, with a matched checksum and normal first launch. It is not a test of ArtCraft Studio, Launcher, an Intel Mac, Windows or Linux. The version-specific record and its original test date remain on the Mac guide.
After downloading: identify the copy you are running
- Check the product name. Confirm whether you opened Studio, Launcher or the chosen Crafting App.
- Record the application version. Use the app’s About information. Keep the release filename too; a Launcher version is not the editor version.
- Keep a reversible trial. Use a copied image, project or RAW file and save the result under a new name before using it for a delivery.
- Report the stage that failed. Include the OS, architecture, product, version, package name and exact error. Download, first launch and file editing are separate stages.
Once PhotoCraft opens, follow the first-edit tutorial — Desktop walkthrough for a small recorded task. If you only need basic cropping, rotation or text without installation, this site’s local browser editor is a separate tool. It has no AI generation and no PSD support; it is not the ArtCraft Studio or a complete PhotoCraft build.
