Managed installation

ArtCraft Launcher for PhotoCraft — install and manage updates

The Launcher offers one place to install and update Crafting Apps. A standalone package gives you a specific PhotoCraft release to manage yourself.

Choose a managed installation route

The official PhotoCraft product page (opens a new tab) presents ArtCraft Launcher as a way to choose the matching build, install Crafting Apps and manage updates. Start from that page’s Download Launcher entry to obtain the current official Launcher; its version is separate from PhotoCraft’s version.

PhotoCraft belongs to the Crafting Apps family. Do not confuse it with the separate ArtCraft AI image/video studio or assume that studio’s pricing and platform requirements apply to PhotoCraft.

Choose the Launcher if you want to manage more than one family app from a common entry point. Choose a standalone package when you need a particular release, portable ZIP, Linux format, CLI or self-hosted web asset.

Install and confirm PhotoCraft’s version

  1. Open the official PhotoCraft product page and follow its Launcher download.
  2. Check the Launcher’s own platform and installation instructions.
  3. Open the Launcher and select PhotoCraft. Read the package/version and installation prompts it displays.
  4. After installation, open PhotoCraft and check Help → About PhotoCraft.
  5. Test open, save and export on a small image copy before relying on the app for a project.

On later updates, save your documents and read the PhotoCraft release notes first. Keep the installed editor version with your compatibility checks; the Launcher’s version alone does not identify the editing engine used.

Keep the installation paths clear

If you already have a standalone app or portable folder, make sure you know which copy launches when you open an image. Two installed copies can report different versions and lead to confusing issue reports.

A Launcher error belongs to the Launcher installation or update process; a document-rendering problem belongs to PhotoCraft. Capture the exact screen, operation and relevant app version so the report reaches the right project.

This site links to the official route and has not tested the Launcher’s update mechanism. For a controlled manual update, follow the release checklist and keep the previous package until your files pass the checks you need.
