The checked official release
The current snapshot points to PhotoCraft v0.7.0 (opens a new tab), published 11 Oct 2026, 02:12 UTC. Its listed release assets include desktop installers, portable packages, a web archive and a SHA-256 manifest. The count of downloadable assets does not include GitHub’s separately generated source archives.
Our download page uses filenames and links from this release. The GitHub latest-release link (opens a new tab) can lead to a newer version after this guide’s checked date. Check the release title and any prerelease label rather than relying on the word “latest” alone.

Read what changed in the release notes
Open the notes for this exact version (opens a new tab) and compare them with the previous release (opens a new tab). Look for changes that affect your files: format support, PSD saving, missing fonts, rendering, crash fixes, installation and known regressions.
Release notes and a feature list answer different questions. A feature may exist in an earlier version while the current release fixes its behavior. Keep the exact release tag with any issue report or compatibility test so another reader can reproduce the same conditions.
This independent guide does not publish an invented change list or promise that every update improves every workflow. If a note is unclear for a critical project, test a copy and keep the result before changing your regular setup.
Compare your installed version and update
- Find your version in Help → About PhotoCraft and note whether it is an official or development build.
- Read the target release notes, save open documents and back up important files.
- Choose the same platform and architecture through the download hub, or use ArtCraft Launcher if that is how you installed the app.
- Close the existing app, then follow the platform’s installation method. For a portable build, extract into a new folder for evaluation.
- Reopen a representative file copy, check its appearance, make a small edit, save under a new name and inspect the saved result.
Keep the previous package and original documents until the checks relevant to your work pass. An update timestamp alone is not evidence of compatibility.
