PhotoCraft on GitHub: source, releases and issues

Use Releases to install the app, the README to understand it, and Issues to check known problems.

Recognize the official repository

The official repository is github.com/storytold/photocraft (opens a new tab). Follow the GitHub link on the official product page (opens a new tab) if you want to confirm the connection.

The Code view contains development files. It is useful for contributors, but a folder full of source code is not the same thing as a ready-to-run application.

Download an application from Releases

  1. Open the latest release (opens a new tab) and read its notes, including any prerelease label.
  2. Expand Assets and look for your operating system and processor architecture.
  3. Choose a desktop package. A photocraft-cli archive is for command-line use; a photocraft-web archive is a self-hosted web build.
  4. Keep the version number when asking for help. Our download guide explains the package choices.

Code → Download ZIP and the Source code release attachments contain source files. Most users do not need Rust or a local build environment to install a packaged release.

Make a problem reproducible

Search existing issues (opens a new tab) for the error first. A useful new report includes the app version, operating system, file dimensions, layer count, exact steps, expected result and actual result.

Attach a minimal sample you have permission to share, with private text and client images removed. Keep the original file and a screenshot of any warning. This helps distinguish a file-specific problem from an installation or rendering issue.
